May 22, 2015 - Parent's Day

Sawyer's class hosted a Parent's Day today.  They got to show us some of the songs they've been learning this year and a few skits they've been working on.  It was fun to watch him do some of the same things all his brothers have done in Kindergarten like The 50 Nifty United States, The Books of the Bible song and other songs.  I can't believe this is the last Parent's Day we will get to go to.  Everyone is getting so big.

May 21, 2015 - Valleyfair!

Noah has been looking forward to this day for quite awhile.  His 8th Grade Class Trip is finally here!!  I had the privilege of being a driver for it too and was a little nervous to go on a roller coaster again.  I used to love them but it's been years.  We hit one of the bigger ones right away and Noah and I quickly realized that we both really like roller coasters.  I think our group went on every roller coaster at least once and then lots of other rides too.  It was a really fun day and the weather was perfect!  Noah can't wait to go back and get his dad on a few of the rides, especially Steel Venom!  That ride was terrifying but so fun!

May 20, 2015 - Train Tracks

Every once in awhile the Geo Tracks still come out.  When they do, it's always a challenge to get the whole track to connect and to be able to access every part of the track from any direction.  It's a puzzle but it's a fun project.  Sawyer did a lot of this track by himself, I only had to help at the end.  Good work, kid!

May 19, 2015 - One of Sawyer's Favorite Things

We've had some really cold days lately and sitting out at a baseball field gets pretty chilly.  But we dress for it, gloves, hats and blankets.  And having a 6 year-old snuggle up with me helps too.  There were no complaints from Sawyer, he definitely still loves "snuggling his mama"!

May 18, 2015 - VBS Flyer Distribution

Every year the 5th-8th graders take a morning and hand out flyers for VBS around town.  I usually try to drive some kids for this.  This year I had Ethan, Ryan, Paul and Job in my group.  These kids worked hard, actually running from house to house.  It probably helped that it was pretty cold and that was one way to keep warm.  Or the fact that I told them if they got done quickly we would go get ice cream.  Well, they got done fast so we headed to McDonalds and ice cream wasn't quite enough for these growing boys.  They all got some kind of sandwich too.  And thought it would be hilarious if they hid so the lady at the drive through would think all that food was just for me.  They weren't real successful though because they were giggling so hard there was no way they were hidden.  It was a good time for sure!

May 17, 2015 - 8th Grade Graduation

Noah graduated from 8th grade today!  Where has the time gone?  He still has a few weeks of school left but since he has his diploma in hand he doesn't think he should have to go back anymore.  He'd prefer just to go back for the fun stuff.  One milestone met.  Next up, Confirmation.

May 16, 2015 - A Wet Game

We've had pretty good weather for baseball so far, much warmer than last year for sure.  But today was a wet day.  Thankfully, umbrellas are in the truck at all times during the baseball season.  As well as chairs and blankets and a ton of other stuff.  But it's all come in handy at one time or another.
