April 13, 2015 - Fun with Mr. T

I was out of school today at the end of the day and happened to see Mr. Tiefel head outside to school the boys in a little basketball.  It was so funny to watch him playing with them.  The boys loved it even though every shot got blocked.  I love that our teachers will get out there and play with the kids after school.  Just one of the many reasons I love our school!

 

I happened to take a little video of it too.  I think this really shows the fun they had!

April 12, 2015 - The Mighty Gopher Hunter

Our yard has many gophers in it.  We have two different kinds, the kind that make big dirt mounds and never come out from underground and the little kind that just make holes all over and every once in awhile poke their heads up.  Dan takes care of the kind that make the mounds by setting traps in the holes and getting them that way.  I have become the expert in killing the other kind with our pellet gun.  I got this little guy while he was hiding in a tube.  It just wasn't his day.  These gophers need to learn to stay out of our yard!

April 11, 2015 - Women's Retreat

I spent the afternoon in sessions at the Women's Retreat centered on the topic "Uniquely Woman".  It was a great topic and I took something away from each session but by mid afternoon I was ready for some fresh air and exercise.  Kristen, Karen and I decided to go for a walk around a little lake that's right across the street from the hotel.  There's a nice path that goes around the lake and if you do the loop you end up going about 5 miles.  It was a beautiful day for a walk.

Later that evening, after dinner, Kristen and I decided to take some goofy pictures in front of a tree.  I'm not really sure why but we had a lot of laughs posing as did the lady who was taking the pictures and telling us how to pose.

April 10, 2015 - National Siblings Day

Apparently today is National Siblings Day.  Something I didn't know until I went on Facebook and if it's on Facebook it must be true (wink wink).  I was at the Women's Retreat in Winona and managed to find one of my siblings there.  I had to take a picture of course.

April 9, 2015 - Life

Just a normal evening at the Sydow house.  Someone is usually on some kind of device.   And if it's Sawyer, he usually has his shirt off.  He cannot play a game with a shirt on for whatever reason.  Love Bryce's expression in this one.

April 8, 2015 - Photo Shoot

I did not get around to taking a picture today but a few days ago the weather was beautiful so Sawyer and I spent a good part of the afternoon outside.  He wanted to try taking some pictures so I posed for him and then I made him pose a little too.  His thumb only got in the way once!  The pictures of him are way more entertaining than the ones of me. Go figure!

 

April 7, 2015 - Socks

I do laundry every Monday, and because I refuse to do it more than once a week unless absolutely necessary, there is usually A LOT to be done.  I usually save the sock  matching til last, well actually I pull all the socks out and leave them for the kids to match.  This is what they get to do when they get home today!!  I know, boring picture, but I'm always amazed at how many socks are in the laundry and sometimes life is just not all that more exciting then a basket of socks.
