Today was Noah's confirmation day. It's so hard to believe he's to the point where this could be happening for him. But he stood before the congregation with his classmates and pledged to stay true to God. We pray he stays as strong in his faith as he is know, if not stronger.
We had a party at church with some of the other confirmands. It was nice for Noah to be able to celebrate with some of his friends. Afterwards we had family and a few friends to our house for another party.

June 6, 2015 - The Start of a Busy Weekend
The Sawdust City Slam tournament started this weekend so amongst all the other stuff going on and having company, we get to go to baseball games also. Bryce played today. It's always fun to watch this kid play, he is a student of the game. You can see he understands the game and just wants to do his best out there. Plus it's always pretty special to see the kids interactions with Dan as their coach.
We also took sometime and went to see Grandma Gullerud. We don't get over there nearly enough. She is a really blessing to this family. It's always wonderful to see her.

June 5, 2015 - Pulling Pork
Company has started arriving for Noah's Confirmation this Sunday. Dave, Chris, Olivia, Owen, Jordan, Brittany and Peyton all got here tonight. It's always so nice to see them. The boys are all very taken with Peyton, they aren't used to having a little girl around after all and it's so fun to watch them with her.
The adult company got to get in on helping my pull pork for Sunday also. Little did they know that staying with us would entail such a fun activity. We had about 40 pounds to shred so I was VERY happy to have the help. I don't know if any of us will want to eat it though after looking at it for so long.

June 4, 2015 - A Night Out
Dan and I were without kids tonight so we decided to take advantage of that moment and go out for some appetizers and drinks. We went to the Livery downtown since it was a beautiful night and they have seating outside. It was so nice to spend some time just the two of us, that doesn't happen very much during baseball season it seems. We stayed for awhile and even got to watch how they get their big fire started. They skip matches a go straight for a propane torch. Pretty cool.

June 3, 2015 - Turkey Eggs
A few days ago we discovered these eggs way out in our yard. We weren't quite sure what they were but after a little research we figured out that they were probably turkey eggs. It helped to see the mama turkey by them once though too. We check on them pretty regularly and hope to see some baby turkeys sometime soon.

June 2, 2015 - Downtime
Sometimes it's nice to just sit on the deck and enjoy the quiet and the sunset. A little company is never a bad thing either.

June 1, 2015 - Happy Birthday Ethan
Ethan turns 12 today! It's so hard to believe that our chubby little boy has turned into a such a great young man. Where has the time gone? We had cake and embarrassed Ethan thoroughly by singing to him and teasing him about candles not blown out. Then it was present time, he finally got a target to shoot arrows at. He was pretty excited. To finish the night we played a friendly game of 21 out in the driveway. Ethan showed off some mad dunking skills. I think the day was a success.
