June 30, 2015 - I Can't Believe My Eyes!

One of my least favorite jobs to do is ironing.  I am always telling Dan that I'm pretty sure he could iron if he really wanted to but he likes to pretend that he doesn't know how.  But today I found him ironing!  It was amazing!  And now I know he knows how to do it.  I guess if his shorts are wrinkled enough and I'm busy, he will get the iron out and do it!  I had to take a picture!

June 29, 2015 - These Little Hands

Noah, Ethan and Bryce all made a handprint project in Kindergarten that had a picture of them showing their hands, their handprints and a poem on it.  They are on our wall in the office.  Sawyer has been waiting to have his added to the wall but for some reason they didn't do this project in Kindergarten this year.  So, Sawyer and I did our own or at least we have all the pieces now we just need to put it together.  Sawyer is pretty happy that he will have his handprints on the wall soon too.

Bryce's All-Star team had a tournament in Hudson today.  They played so well and came in 2nd!  It's so much fun watching these boys play together.

June 27, 2015 - Diving from the Pontoon

Camp is over and we thought it would be nice to spend a nice, relaxing afternoon on the pontoon.  The kids must not be too tired because they spent quite a bit of time trying to perfect their dives.  Some are starting to look pretty good.

June 26, 2015 - Flowers from Sawyer

Bryce and Sawyer spent the afternoon out at Grandma and Grandpa Sydow's.  Sawyer brought home with these beautiful flowers for me.  It's so nice that he loves his mama so much!

June 25, 2015 - Crazy Tattoos and Lake Jumping

Bryce and Sawyer have been spending their mornings at precamp and they have been loving it.  Today I got a text from one of the counselors with this picture.  They were doing tattoos and Sawyer really did it up. They started calling him the tattoo master.  I'm not sure if I should be worried about this or not.
After camp was done we headed out to Falkenberg's again.  It's great having friends who live on the lake.  The kids had a great time jumping into the water and trying to have the coolest pose .

June 24, 2015 - Koine Concert in the Park

Karen's brother, Brian, is in a Christian band called Koine.  They were in Eau Claire tonight and put on a concert at Phoenix Park.  It was a beautiful night and wonderful music. It's always uplifting to go to a concert where God is being glorified through song.

June 23, 2015 - HUGE Ball

We got the call from camp asking us to come and surpise the campers during their game of HUGE ball.  This is a game like dodgeball but there aren't just regular balls being thrown at you but also Huge balls.  It's a pretty good time.  A few other parents were there also and we all decided we would dress up in throw back Lancer uniforms.  I was lucky enough to find the jersey that Scott wore in high school so I of course wore that!  We didn't get any pictures during the game becasue we were too busy playing but it was pretty fun and I think Noah and Ethan were surprised to see us, not sure if they were happy to have their parents at camp though, but they put on happy faces either way.

June 22, 2015 - 3 Monkeys

While the older boys were at camp, Ben and Levi stayed out our house for precamp.  I came downstairs to find them hanging from the rafters.  It looked like they were having a good time and getting a workout in the process so I let them be.
Jay and Bekki and family also came over for dinner tonight and the kids had a good time building with Legos and showing their creations to Grandpa Sydow.

June 21, 2015 - On the Pontoon

Eric, Bridget, Martin and Ellie are in town for Youth Camp at ILC.  We haven't seen them for awhile so it was nice to have a little time with them out at Dad and Eunice's before camp started.  It was a beautiful summer day so we had to take the opportunity to get out on the pontoon and do some fishing also.

June 20, 2015 - Baseball and a Surprise Party

Today was a pretty eventful day.  We had 3 baseball tournaments and a surprise 70th birthday party for Dan's parents.  I went to Mauston with Noah, Dan went with Ethan to Merrill and Grandpa and Grandma Albrecht took Bryce to his tournament in New Richmond.  After the games were done, we all headed over to Steve and Kelly's for a surprise party for Jim and Beth.  Dan was there for the surprise, and they were surprised.  The rest of us got there when we could and had a great time celebrating!  Lots of family pictures were taken and it wasn't always easy to get everyone looking at the camera and smiling at the same time but we did our best.  And someone got a little "crazy" with the bat, what can I say, it was a long day of baseball before the party :)

June 19, 2015 - Ankle Exercises

Ever since I hurt my ankle in January, I haven't been very good about doing my exercises to strengthen it again.  I'm trying to do better and Dan is right there to help me.  I need to be made to do things sometimes, good thing I have people in my life who are willing to push me.

June 18, 2015 - Noah's New Bat

Noah has been trying to decide what to put his Confirmation money towards.  He's wanted his own bat for awhile now and decided that would be one thing that he would purchase.  So he did some shopping in stores and online, talked to a few teammates about their bats and decided on this Macko that he bought online.  Well, it came today and he's pretty excited to have it.  Now to get out and hit some homeruns!

June 17, 2015 - At the Lake

We spent the afternoon at the lake again.  The boys swam and had fun and Karen and I even jumped in.  This time the water was a bit warmer.

June 15, 2015 - Checking Out Scott's New Place

Scott is back in town.  He sold his house and bought a camper that's parked at Duncan Creek in Chippewa Falls.  He plans to live there until it gets too cold to live in a camper and then on to the next adventure.  We hadn't seen his place yet so we headed out there tonight.  It's a real nice place on a nice spot.  We stayed and visited for awhile and of course goofed around.  It's going to be nice having him close again.
